The Baku Barnstorm - Our most extreme train adventure yet
Sustainable Travel
Our most extreme train adventure yet...
10 countries. 3400 miles. 100 hours of trains. From Blighty to Baku we go.
That’s right. Our next adventure is here. And it’s bigger – and longer - than ever. It’s mega.
We’re going to COP29 in Azerbaijan – the big climate change conference - but we’re not taking the easy route. We’re taking the train… or rather many, many… many trains. 🚆
3 weeks today we will leave the UK to travel all the way to Baku in Azerbaijan.
Now if you’re not sure where Azerbaijan is… it’s really bloody far away. It’s going to take us about 2 weeks.
We’ll be sharing content along the way – sharing the highs, the lows, the tantrums, the emissions saved, and everything else in between.
Why do this?
This isn’t about never flying - we just want to show that sometimes you don’t have to. We’re all about Imperfect Environmentalism & about adding spice to sustainability.
And why are we going to COP29?
Various reasons - but the main one is that we’ll be launching the Second Nature Sisters Interview Series where we talk to leading women across sustainability & business and tell their stories. 💥
Thanks to our friends at Interrail EU for helping make this happen.
Can’t wait to bring you sooooo much train footage.
Wish us luck… with that many trains & connections… we’re probably going to need it. 😅
Saving the planet shouldn’t be boring.
Love, the CJ & SNS Team x
