According to David Attenborough, we must 'rewild the world', but what does 'rewilding' actually mean?

WHAT IS REWILDING?

Rewilding is basically going to any nature-depleted place and giving it a helping hand until nature can thrive on its own.

It's essentially just helping nature do its thing.

REWILDING EXAMPLES

  • Turning a disused car park into a woodland
  • Creating legit marine protected areas
  • Reintroducing animals like beavers into areas that need them
  • Turning barren land into a nature trail

THE NONSENSE HYSTERIA

There is a lot of nonsense hysteria around rewilding - claiming it's all about getting rid of farmland or reintroducing wolves.

But really, rewilding is a massively positive thing.

WHY?

Because wild places are epic to explore.

They are beautiful.

And (the big one) they are essential to having a liveable planet - our economies, our health, and the health of our planet depend on nature.

REWILDING PROJECTS

At Carbon Jacked, that's why we're big on rewilding and fund projects that help rewild the world.
